As the finance ministers of the Eurozone gather for a crucial meeting on the future of Greece, thousands of citizens are braving freezing temperatures (yes, it's been snowing in Athens too) to show their opposition to destructive austerity policies. One of the symbolic perhaps but still important changes wrought by the brand new government is how it handles demonstrations. Admittedly these are PRO-government demos but still, no riot police, no provocative police presence even in other situations that were not in their favor.
